The Best Approach To Change

Accept it.
The tighter you hold on to the old, the longer the change will take, the more it will hurt. Acceptance doesn't mean you like it. And it isn't resignation either. It is like getting caught outside when it rains and saying "Ok, I am going to get a little wet. It's not comfortable, but I'll dry off."

Anchor it.
If you tie the change to something old, it will make the change more familiar, which can reduce your anxiety about dealing with new stuff. That is what Hollywood does all the time making 5 versions of the same story. And it works!

Change is a battle you can't win. It's going to happen, but you can choose how it affects you.
